Sabah FC Examines Replacement Plans for Njoku Jacob.

Sabah FC needs to examine the need for a replacement for ‘Njoku Jacob’ ahead of the second player transfer window in the coming month of July.

Its Chief Executive Officer, Marzuki Nasir, stated that currently, Head Coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee is planning to identify players who possess the qualities suitable for the team’s tactics.

Regarding the early termination of Jacob’s contract, he mentioned that both parties reached a mutual agreement to allow Jacob to resolve personal issues.

“He (Jacob) agreed because, as I mentioned earlier, there were indeed some family problems. An agreement has been reached to allow his contract to be terminated earlier than the scheduled date.

“We have a two-month period to evaluate players who are suitable for Sabah FC’s tactics and can help the team compete in the Malaysian League itself,” he said in a statement in Kota Kinabalu.

Marzuki mentioned that Sabah FC is currently identifying several potential candidates who are suitable, but further assessment is still being carried out before being recommended by Datuk Ong Kim Swee and Technical Director Scott Olleranshaw for a decision by the management.

“Let’s keep it a secret for now… because there are several and many players under consideration. During these two months, we will try to evaluate other players who fit Sabah FC’s plans,” he added.
